Why you're hearing from us

Hi, Nicky here, co-founder of MOD.fyi. This year, we've made it a priority to step up our support for our existing customers.

Our first line of business: a brand new service, 100% free for all of our existing customers. Scheduled success calls, where you set the agenda.

Tell us what you think could be improved about your Pepperi experience, and we'll fix whatever we can during the call and give you solid ideas to implement the rest. You can grab your first one now using the link and invitation code below, and we'll also be in touch with each of you individually. Your success is our success.

Now, here's the deal on this newsletter: we set a rule that it has to be about you, so we only send one when there's something you can take away from it. If you get to the end of the newsletter and come away empty-handed, hit reply and tell me. I read every one.

MeetMOD.ular

Pretty much every distributor we've worked with has wanted a dashboard at some point, and almost none of them have one. It was never the charts that were hard. It's everything you need before the first chart: the ERP export, the data warehouse, the consultant, and the spreadsheet someone in the office keeps alive by hand in the meantime. And even when you finally get the chart, it rarely tells you what to do next.

After enough of these conversations, our team put on their engineering hats. MOD.ular is what came out: a new insight module we built from the ground up to plug straight into Pepperi, and it's here today. It reads what's already in Pepperi and your connected ERP, so there's nothing to build or install. That's why our last implementation was live in two days, with the numbers tuned by the end of the week. Yes, really.

Six dashboards, each answering a question you're already asking
Pulse
How the month's going while you can still do something about it, and where the next six months are heading.
Retention
Who's gone quiet against their own ordering rhythm, and who to call first.
Cross-sell
What each account buys from you, what they buy from someone else, and what to attach to the next order.
Margin
Discounts that have quietly drifted, two accounts paying different prices for the same SKU, and who costs more per drop than they earn.
Team & Ops
Every rep against their own last year, and AR that's past due.
Map
Your territory, colored against your own average rather than against zero.

Every chart comes with a plain-English note on how to read it and what to do about it, plus an Excel button if you want the rows behind it. Already have a chart in mind that isn't here? We'll swap one in. We'll walk you through them one dashboard at a time in the issues ahead, starting with one row today.

Let's look at one row

Just one example out of many. Let's say you've been wondering which customers have quietly stopped ordering. Not the ones who told you they're leaving, the ones who just went quiet. Here's the top row of the call list on the Retention dashboard, on sample data:

Retention · The call listTrading days
CustomerGolden BowlFlagged: gone quiet
Orders every4 daysTheir own rhythm
Last orderJun 10Open the call with this
Quiet for12 days3.0× their usual gap
Sales, 12 mo$101,836What is at stake
Rows are ranked by the last column, so the first call is the one worth the most. Sample figures, real screen.

How to read it. Golden Bowl normally orders every four days, but in the chart I can see their last invoice was June 10, meaning they've now been quiet for 12 days, three times their usual gap, and they were worth about $102k last year. That's what we're leaving on the table if nobody picks up the phone to find out, and as we say, a call today keeps the churn away. And this is designed to run against their own rhythm, not some flat 30-day rule.

What's actionable from this
  1. Export the full list straight from MOD.ular. It comes out already sorted.
  2. Round up your reps on Friday and start calling. "Hey Billy, we haven't seen an order since the 10th, is everything alright?" Customers appreciate that call.

That's one row from one dashboard. There are many more examples like this, check it out at mod.fyi/modular.

Book your first success call

Here's how a success call works. It's 45 minutes on an agenda you set, with the engineers who know your setup. Bring whatever bugs you about your Pepperi: a field that's mapped wrong, a rule that doesn't match how you trade, a report you're still building by hand. We'll fix what we can right there on the call and leave you with solid ideas for the rest. And if you'd like, we'll walk you through MOD.ular live on the same call, then switch on a free trial on your own data afterward. First time you open it, it's your customers on the screen, not ours.

Pick a time that suits you and enter the invitation code when the calendar asks for it. Nothing to prepare, and no commitment beyond the 45 minutes.
